A bi-annual event most university students wish to pass twice.
Often associated with late-night library times, very low caffeine and declining social health, the trial period is all part of a university trip.
We know it can be very difficult, which is why we have included the following tips to help you overcome this test period:
Manage your time
As soon as you get your test plan, write it down and get it. It will help you to prioritize what tests you need to do the most when you first study.
Create your own timetable to schedule your days and help improve your productivity. Don't forget to take breaks to give your mind and body a chance to start over.
Using the editor can also help you keep track of any other last days, days and times so you never forget anything important.
Change your learning environment
Some people find that they can read better in the library, while others choose their own bedroom.
Change your location to find out what works best for you. If you find yourself lingering in the library, head to the cafe and see how far you can go.
Remember your headphones, and play soft music while reading in public to prevent any interruptions.
Make full use of your teachers
Most instructors will have working hours where you can make time to meet or talk with them.
If you have a problem with a topic or get your head around something in particular, do not be afraid to ask questions.
If you are unable to make their office hours, send them a quick email asking for specific clarifications, they are there to help you succeed!

Work on your notes
Focus on understanding your speech notes. Compared with capturing just a few facts, understanding them means that you can apply the knowledge to new situations (which will require a lot of experimentation!)
Discover important pieces of information by highlighting key words and structures. Depending on your reading style, create posters, or rearrange text into visual symbols such as charts and diagrams to help you digest information.
Stay Community
It is best to offer uncontrollable parties and some nights during the exam but entertainment is still important.
Meeting friends relieves major stressors. Ask them how their reading is going, they may have a few helpful tips to add to this list.
Planning ahead with your friends, post-test exams are also a great way to help you complete your review. Having something to look forward to can help prevent fatigue and motivate you to get the job done.
Do not skip sleep
Night study times are not all designed to be. When you are tired, you are less likely to concentrate and less likely to store information.
Stick to your update schedule (Top Tip 1 *) and know when to turn it off. You will find yourself more productive after a full night's sleep. You can even think ahead of the exam season and choose student housing in Leicester in the right place. Being close to your University means you can avoid travel stress, and get more rest.
